MacBook Pro blurry screen

Hi,

I have a mid-2014 Macbook Pro running High Sierra. It started having issues recognizing my Apple keyboard, then something else and I followed steps for SMC reset, as suggested. Nothing. Now, I get blurry screen upon starting up. I can discern the iOS mountain background image, but cannot do anything. Help anyone? Performed multiple SMC resets, turned on and off, plugged in to different monitors (my screen is broken) using different ports (HDMI & VGA).

Thank you!!!

Hi there SCuserofapple,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We’ll be happy to look into this with you.

It sounds like there is an issue involving your keyboard and after resetting SMC the display on your external monitor is blurry and unresponsive.

To troubleshoot the display issue, let’s follow the steps in this guide: Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac. Check out the section that says, “If an image appears fuzzy or blurry.”

Once that’s resolved, these steps can help with the keyboard: If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working with your Mac as expected. We hope this helps.

Take Care!
