Slow Watch Sync - Bluetooth vs WiFi

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250188975

Hi, I have seen on several forums that it is known that syncing anything between the iPhone and Watch is very slow over Bluetooth. Some people suggest moving the phone away from the watch to force a sync through WiFi.

My question is whether there is a better solution so that the Watch and iPhone will sync using the fastest available means?

It is extremely annoying when you want to go to the gym and before leaving you realise you want some more music, only to now wait 30 minutes to sync 10-12 songs. It is honestly a joke.

Any solution?

Hello JamesDinDin,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. If we're understanding correctly, the time it takes to sync music, podcasts or audiobooks from an iPhone to an Apple Watch is longer than expected. We'll be happy to help.

The time it takes to sync data from an iPhone to an Apple Watch varies based on the amount of data you're attempting to sync. In addition, you want to make sure that the iPhone and the Apple Watch is within range of one another. For details, please reference this helpful article: Listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks on your Apple Watch

We also suggest to reduce the possibility of wireless interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Best regards.
