Hello, Marc! Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. You’ve come to the right place for help with your iPad.


From what we understand, you would like to disable the red line from showing in the Notes app as you type. This is certainly something we can assist with. 


The feature you are noticing is called Check Spelling. Misspelled words will appear with a red line indicating the spelling error. You can disable this feature in the keyboard settings of your device. 


To find this setting, first open the Settings app. Tap General, and then choose Keyboards. From here, you can disable or enable the “Check Spelling” option.
