Need to contact Apple to find out serial number for Mac and Apple Care. Need to know it the Laptop can be replaced by a new one by the warranty
As already mentioned Apple's Warranty does not cover loss or theft. However your normal home insurance probably will. I would investigate the details of your (assuming you have one) policy asap as that will be your best bet in getting a replacement. Bear in mind there will probably be an excess you'll have to pay.
It's possibly on the email you received from Apple when you purchased Apple Care and it should be on the box it came in, if you still have it? Failing that you may find it on the invoice/receipt. Start looking now.
Assuming you enabled "Find My Mac" you could look at its details when logging in to your iCloud account with your AppleID. You'll only see the last 5 digits but it might get you further?
The AppleCare warranty does not cover loss due to theft.
