When I trade in my old iphone with the apple upgrade program, do I get anything for the traded in phone? The reason I'm asking is because it's been nearly 24 months since I bought my phone. So if I wait a little longer I'll own the phone outright and then could get some trade-in value I think. Any suggestions?

You get the new iPhone.
That’s the point of the upgrade program.
if you are close to the end of the 24 months however, then yes, it would be a better option to finish it, and then use it for a trade in to lower the payments on the new one.
Use this instead: Apple Trade In - Apple
You will get more money if you pay it off early and sell it yourself.
