Face ID hasn't been working

Hello! i currently have the iphone x and it is up to date. my face id has not been working... every time i try to set it up i get a message saying “move iphone lower”. i have referred to apples help page and tried all the tricks but nothing have helped.

Please help

Make sure you have done all the steps in this guide:

If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support


You can check if this is an issue with the true depth sensor if you are not able to take a portrait with your selfie camera either.

If you can't its almost 100% an issue requiring repair.


But most likely you will end up here:


If you can’t enroll your face, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider or contact Apple Support.


Take your device to an apple store, an Apple Authorized Service Provider, contact apple with that link or:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
