My sim is locked and I’ve contacted my carrier and they told me to contact a previous carrier. I haven’t been with Verizon for a year and no balance owing etc. anyone else have this issue? I’ve been getting the run around.

First Verizon looked up the IMEI and said Apple had it locked. Apple says they don’t lock SIM cards. I’m with straight talk and they keep sending me to Verizon. Anyone have this happen?

A locked SIM card is not the same as a locked phone.

As noted, Apple does not lock either. A locked SIM card is something you may have done. If you keep asking a carrier about a locked SIM card, you may be getting the wrong answer.

Here is information about a locked SIM. if it is a locked SIIM, a new SIM card will get you back in business.

KiltedTim is suggesting your phone itself is locked to a carrier.

What message does your phone show?
