Read Receipts iOS 14

Text message are not the only read receipts, mail can request read receipts as well. If you send someone a text message, the only time they will see a read receipt is when you read something they texted. You can turn on individual read receipts for individual messages and not all messages. That would be done in the individual message itself. If you go into your Message thread with one of the individuals that is reporting you have Read Receipts turned on, tap on their name at the top, then go to Info. From there you have the ability to turn Hide Alerts, or Send Read Receipts. I have not seen or read of any bug regarding read receipts here.

What kind of read receipts? Are you referring to Mail, or that someone is receiving read receipts for your iMessages. How are you aware that it is sending read receipts. You would not be aware of read receipts in iMessage unless you are seeing the other person's phone. What exactly are you seeing on the screen that is leading you to believe that your phone is sending read receipts?

Joining this thread. My text message read receipts turned on today on iOS14 and they're still toggled off in my message settings. Confirmed with a few friends they're receiving the RRs from me still.

Thanks for the tips, but individual RRs are off, general RRs are off, etc.
