Missing apps in share sheet ios 14
Since upgrading to ios 14 on my iPhone 8, my share sheet is missing most of the apps that used to be there (no, they’re not in the “More” part either). How do I get them back?

I've had the same problem. Almost all apps were missing in the share sheet, even though they were sometimes visible as contact suggestions, e.g. I could not see Facebook Messenger app in the sheet, though it might suggest sharing a photo to John Appleseed via the same Facebook Messenger (same thing with What's App and other apps).
Here's how I fixed it:
I've closed all apps, changed iOS language to English (from Polish which is the language I normally use on my iPhone) and it helped. It kept working after switching back to English, so I guess you can just change the system language to any other language and then go back to the one you're using. I don't know if closing all apps that were present in the background was a necessary step, though I guess it wasn't.
I realised that I hadn’t restarted my iPad in weeks. I closed all apps, restarted and the share sheet links all reappeared. Problem solved. Maybe the moral of the story is to restart your iPad fairly frequently.
Rebooting my phone bought my missing app (twitter) back to the share sheet, but the actual sharing isn't working - ie, I can't share a photo from my phone to twitter using the share sheet - I've got to launch the twitter app, compose a new tweet, and attach the picture there.
Probably a twitter issue, not iOS, but thought I'd mention it here in case anyone's listening.
Bummer - I tried, and I was able to share a photo using gmail, mail, yahoo mail, hangouts, messages, etc - everything EXCEPT twitter on my phone, that's why I figured "not being able to share via twitter" was twitter-specific.
I tried it it didn’t work, maybe because I left a few open? Going to try again and close them all , restart my phone but so far im not having any luck! And I don’t even recall doing an update my phone is old!? A 7 plus, second one they sent me a refurbished! So far first problem!!
I can’t pass my video to YouTube using share sheet. It is only way to do this is open YouTube app and press plus button. It is annoying. Such a simple feature, available on Android for many years, does not exist at all on iOS.
PLEASE HELP!!
hi there, I’ve been facing this problem for a month now, and its so so annoying, i cant share any pdf from email to any other app, cant share any photo from gallery to any app i.e WhatsApp, messenger. Nothing.
I’ve changed the region and language, cleared apps and restarted phone. Nothing worked me. In need of desperate help.
Same issue here on iOS 14.6 iPhone 12 Pro Max. When sharing a photo I only see suggestions from SMS and Telegram. Apps like Slack, WhatsApp etc are neither suggested nor visible in “More…”. iPhone restart helps.
i guess its some recent app that you downloaded, i deleted some of the recent apps that I installed and then restarted my phone, and it worked for me. Since then I haven’t had any problem like this. So do try this one
It is quite odd to discuss such situation with one of the most popular operation system in the world?? Why it’s so difficult to design clear and intuitive way to share any content with any application installed on iPhone. The way which already designed in Android. Why we need all this stupid and useless (to be honest) improvements when we even don’t have so important and primitive features??? Why we need this useless Lidar and quite mediocre cameras, which, to be honest, are no better than casers without lidar. It is better to use a really convenient user interface with a set of necessary and convenient functions, and the endless race of cameras is complete stupidity.
Relax, forenheith :) It's not a missing feature, it's just a software bug. Both iOS and Android systems are amazingly complex beasts, so bugs do happen sometimes.
The most important here is for Apple to acknowledge this annoying bug.
I'm trying to do the same thing, share a PDF from email to Notability, where I can make comments and then save it. I've tried everything mentioned in this thread to no avail. Have you solved this? Thanks.
I was having the same issue. I was able to see Pinterest in my share sheet again after I deleted the Pinterest app, rebooted and reinstalled the app.
Just like "nicerobot" I closed all my apps (missing apps still NOT on share sheet) and then I restarted my iPhone - and voila, that solved it for me :-)
I experienced the same issue and struggled with it for some time with no luck. A restart of my iPhone surprisingly enough resolved the issue. All apps are back in the share list. Br/BO1961
I had this problem too and it was resolved after closing all apps and reboot the phone. I have an 11 Pro Max running iOS 14.2
