Activation code email

I was searching around for help with my Activation code email. I don't remember making or even adding an email as short as this one to my ipad, and I was sure enough when I noticed that this other user had the exact same problem with what seems to be the same email attached to it. Is there any way I can get around this? Is this a bug/slip up on apple's part?

Both me and this other user seem to have forgotten the email attached to the activation code. Is there any way this could be some sort of placeholder for devices that never had an email attached to them?

The number of dots in the address may not be accurate.

See if you can recover the ID/password.

For the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.

If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
