Can't reinstall OS X through Disk Utilities

I'm trading in my early 2011 MBP. I erased the disk to clear off my info and restarted the computer in Disk Utilites so I could reinstall the OS. The only option is reinstall Lion (it's an old MBP) and when I do it tells me it "Can't download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X." I believe it needs the OS back on it for the trade it. What can I do?

There is no Lion installer on-line for download
