For some reason I can't comment on your tip here, even though I'm logged in. So commenting here.

I'm using the info. I was in the same boat as this person. (Way less than a gig of deletable stuff, but storage space (flash memory) so full I can't even update the OS.) Unpairing now...

Also, I'm wondering what the range of normal is in terms of the memory usage of a watch, apart from what the apps and their storage add up to.

Bloody ****. First restore failed, leaving watch in limbo. (Continue setup on iPhone, but iPhone wants to start over. Rebooted watch and started restore over.

Failed AGAIN. Rebooting phone to try a third time.

I noticed this oddity after the first restore failed:

Resolved: Did it a few more times with apple rep and it finally unpaired and re-paired again successfully. And the problem went away too. And a few hours later the oddity went away.

BUT the bug in javaliga / JoshuaHelps tip is still there.

Failed again. Tried pairing manually because the watch wouldn't go into pairing mode... Kicked off restore but very soon after it displayed unpairing and back to where I was. Twice now. Calling Apple.
