Email inbox - iPhone rotation

I am running iOS 14 on my iPhone 11. I have two email accounts on this phone (work and personal). When I am viewing my inbox for my work email in portrait setting I see all my work emails listed, per usual. My iPhone inexplicably goes to my personal email when I rotate it to the landscape setting. Not only does it jump from my work email to my personal email upon rotation, but it opens the most recent unread email. My old iPhone running iOS 13.7 does not do this. Any thoughts???
