Posting photos on Instagram with iMac

According to the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ymlzOunJzw , none of the apps for posting photos in Instagram still work. He presents a workaround but, unfortunately, his solution doesn't work for me.

Is there a way to post photos on Instagram with an iMac?

Upon further investigation, this is completely misleading (WRONG) The "solutions" I have mentioned just cannot be done. You cannot upload photos from an iMac to Instagram in any way UNLESS an app I have just downloaded (Blisk) works. The problem is, Blisk is just too difficult for me to use. However, there are probably some here who have the necessary skill and experience to investigate it further. All of the other applications that have been touted eventually seem to end up in failure of one sort or another. I have written to one company asking them to state that their app does work, but it may be some time before I receive an answer. Even that is no guarantee. Many of the alleged cures seem to work for only short periods of time. The experience with these apps has been depressing. I'm sorry for the comments in my previous memo.

As it happens, I had already purchased one of the defective apps from the Apple Store. That's no problem. It only cost a few bucks, so I'm not worried. However, I don't think Apple should continue to stock and sell apps that don't work, so I called Apple to find out to whom I should report the problem. To my surprise, it sounded like Apple is saying that it's not their problem and that I should complain to Instagram or the app maker. WHAT!!!

Let me try again. Does Apple have any interest in the quality of the apps they are selling in their App Store? If so, how do I contact the appropriate person or department?

Sorry for the delay in responding to your message. I don't really have a good excuse, so I'll just have to say that I've been feeling guilty for my silence; that will have to be my thanks/apology. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that your referral didn't help. I called and was told that they only handle problems involving licensees. It's been awhile, so I can't be clearer, but they handle things like complaints against barbers, architects, doctors, etc. They DO NOT handle consumer complaints. To be sure, I asked them if they would be interested in the case of a grocer who had sold dangerously contaminated food. They told me, no. I did finally found a department where I posted my complaint/question. but they have not yet replied. I'll be following-up with them. Thanks for your efforts on my behalf.

I finally received a reply from the Office of the Attorney General of the California Department of justice. It was of absolutely no help and didn't even make any suggestions as to what other actions I might take. Here's the final line:

"Please be advised that your information will be retained in our consumer files and is of importance in helping this office take appropriate action to protect consumers."

I don't know where else to try, and I'm certainly not going to consult with a lawyer. Apple, it looks like you're going to continue getting away with the type of behavior that I have to believe has few defenders.

Some people are much, much s-l-o-w-e-r than others. It Just now I was headed outside where I had prepared some equipment to permit me to take some self-portraits. It had occurred to me that I could solve my problem by just using a camera and downloading it to PHOTOS, from where it could be uploaded to Instagram. .THEN, it occurred to me that I could do the same thing with Photo Booth. Duh. I can take my picture with Photo Booth and then download that picture into PHOTOS. Problem solved...belatedly. Now I'm going to post pictures to Instagram from both my Photo Booth and my Sony camera. I guess I should be looking for a nurse.
