I take a lot of screen captures (photos not video) and email them. Never had an issue before. However, since IOS14 I'm getting a lot of lag and or freezing. I've tried everything I know of to rectify but continues to happen.

Found a Solution
Requested from Apple for service, they sent to Best Buy, they couldn’t do and I had to go to Apple store. They said everything was fine. Told them random automatic restarts, freeze when screen shots, lagging for no reason. They did “diagnostics” in 2 steps, first software and second was hardware. Both came out good, of course, why would they own it. Guy advised me to go complete clean erase, when fresh setting up your iPhone, do not opt for any backup, meaning you start fresh. However, if you backed up youth photos, messages, contacts and other essential stuff, when you login, they should all come back. Only issue is to reinstall every old app manually. Now my 12 pro max doesn’t lag, no restarts or screenshot freeze. So the problem was to restore a backup from the old phone.

apple removed my post because it was criticizing their work quality. This is the rock bottom for Apple, what a dictatorship, can’t even give feedback.
You are right, this is 8th day since I erased my phone completely and started Wirh no backup. Since yesterday it started to lag again. 12 pro max. I did everything they asked, it’s still there

I have not either. This was the first update after apple collected all my logs. Hoping this is the fix.
Mine hasn’t done it in months. I’ve considered the issue (finally) resolved.
Same thing happens to me, it freezes and lags. Sometimes I press the screenshot key multiple times because nothing happens.
then it suddenly shows 3 or 4 screenshots.

it started happening around for me when they introduced that back tap function
I took delivery of a new Iphone 12 Max and issue continues which tells me for sure it's IOS related. Question is how do we get this issue to Apple for fix? They don't pay any attention to these forums.
On phone with support. They claim no reports of this and are blaming it on me. 3 phones and only ios 14 but they claim it's my situation and want me to do all the basic nonsense..Restart the phone, restore etc etc.. No telling them it's IOS they don't want to hear it.
The issue i used to face , when i make screenshot and try to share it direct from the Edit page to Facebook messenger, the phone get freezes and the only solution is to swipe the home line.
I figured this out using my sense-of troubleshooting by deleting the Facebook Messenger app and reinstall it from the App Store and now there is no issue with doing screenshots and share it immediately.
So i do recommend if this issue happing with you with any app you try to share to just have a try to delete the app and reinstall it from the app Store.

My iPhone 11 is doing the same thing anytime you take a screenshot the phone freezes up. Apple online customer support is uselessl To the point where you want to throw the phone all they can recommend after an hour of troubleshooting the device is take it into an Apple store which they have absolutely no appointment availability. Obviously this is a issue that’s happening with many devices get it together apple or you’re going to lose customers

problem since iOS 14 was first installed.
after taking a Screenshot and tapping on the miniature image the editing screen opens. Always when I try to crop the image, the first cropping works but after removing the finger from the screen everything freezes up. No interaction possible. Sliding the screen up to close the app doesn’t work. I have to lock and unlock the phone to use it again.
rebooting didn’t work so far. Not really willing to wipe the whole phone.
