Insufficient remaining store credit while purchasing with apple gift card
I have redeemed $15 on my apple gift card but cannot buy family sharing for $14.99. It says insufficient remaining store credit. What’s the problem??

Apple collects Sales tax an all sales or subscriptions as required by law. $14.99+sales tax (whatever it is in your area) is clearly more than $15.
Unless your region suddenly started collecting sales tax or telecommunications tax when it was not before, and Apple is now required to do so, it is unlikely previous times you were not charged. It is more likely that you had enough balance in your account, or had an additional payment method to cover the sales tax so no issue would have been raised.
The subscription should be telling you the entire charge being collected so you know what you are paying for.
For example: State sales tax for Florida added to itun… - Apple Community
It's taxed in your area.

In previous months it was not a problem, it cost exactly $14.99. I think taxing is not the case
This is what I’m paying for - $14.99. If there was any additional fee it would say here
