Noise canceling issue on FaceTime

Hello. I have an iPhone XR and iPad Pro 2018 11" both seem to have an issue with the noise cancelling when I am on a FT call. If there is any noise on my end (me speaking or background noise) it cuts out the person. I've tried both cellular and wifi without success. I also tried turning off the "Phone noise cancellation" on my iPhone under Accessibility>Audio/visual>Phone Noise cancellation. When I switched to my MacBook it seemed to handle the call better. Not sure what the issue is... If you have any tips or know what the issue is please let me know. I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!

iPhone XR, iOS 14

Hello Sarahmcr,

We understand that you're experiencing an issue while making calls on your iPhone, and we'd like to help point you in the right direction for a resolution. To get started we recommend reviewing our guidance to ensure your microphone is working as expected here: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working

In addition, ensure you're hearing audio correctly by following our guidance here: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

Take care.
