AirPods Pro on MacBook bounces between Transparent and Noise Cancelling

AirPods Pro v3A283 intermittently bounces on ONE AirPod Pro at a time when connected to MacBook Pro running 2019 running Catalina 10.15.7. It's a terribly distracting problem during a video conference. Mostly using Teams. Doesn't matter if Mic is muted or not. At some point during a call, one AirPod Pro will bounce every few seconds between transparency and noise control. Removing the AirPod and returning to the case then re-inserting it doesn't' change it. I can press the AirPod Pro and force with Bypass or Noise Cancelling to prevent the problem. Occurs only when transparency is in use.

Hi tsandizzle,

In reviewing your post, it seems your AirPods Pro are intermittently switching between Transparency and Noise Cancellation mode while connected to your Mac.

You mentioned this seems to occur most often while listening to audio from Microsoft Teams, however have you noticed this while listening to audio from any other app? Or if the AirPods are paired to a different device?

Additionally, we'd recommend following the steps in this article: Reset your AirPods.

If after resetting the AirPods you notice the issue persists, let us know the answers to the questions in our post and we'll follow up from there.

Cheers!
