Do you remember seeing a message like the example below?

If yes, Time Machine detected a problem with your old backups and deleted them so it could start all over again with a new backup yesterday and then move forward.

Normally.....but not always......the message will appear. Sometimes, it will not and Time Machine will go ahead anyway to delete the old backups and start a new backup.

Otherwise......

Try powering off the Time Capsule by pulling the power cord from the back of the unit.

Wait a few minutes

Power up the Time Capsule again and let it run for a minute or two

Restart your Mac

Open Time Machine again and leave it alone for 15-20 minutes to see if the backup history will reappear

Sorry I had tried to restore a file I had deleted and that's when I found only yesterday and today backups. I'm not running any antivirus or any other utility you mentioned.

I just went back into the Time Machine and YIPEE all the backups now show up and when I click on one it takes me the correct day so I guess your first fix really did work, just took a little time.

Thanks so much!
