Confusion over equipment needs for Spatial Audio The Airpods 3 were announced yesterday, with specific callout to having Spatial Audio, as if it were new. I thought that my Airpods 2 also had Spatial Audio. This article seems to support that idea. This article says all airpods have Spatial Audio. It also lists equipment needed to listen if you have an iPhone. AirPods Pro
iPhone 7 or later or one of these iPad models:
- iPad Pro 12.9‑inch (3rd generation) and later
- iPad Pro 11‑inch
- iPad Air (3rd generation)
- iPad (6th generation) and later
- iPad mini (5th generation)
iOS or iPadOS 14 or later
Audiovisual content from a supported app
