Markup changes to photos not saving on iPhone or iPad

Still unable to save edited photos on my iPad, software up to date, why hasn’t Apple sorted this issue yet? 13 th Dec. 2020!

My issue with Markup in iPad OS 14.1 is different. When I get to Markup, any edits I make aren’t registered on the screen. So if I try to paint it red, no red appears. The image sits untouched until I hit cancel or save. Haven’t updated to iOS 14.1 yet, and might hold off until this is resolved.

I have the same problem. After you make a print screen, before editing, change anything other (light +1 for example) and then add some lines or something like that. In this example it is possible to save. The same, if you edit directly before saving an imagine, as you said. The problem doesnt exist on photos made by camera. For me only If I make Print screen.

I have iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 14.1 and thats not the only problem. On the other hand I can’t edit photos in WatchOS If I arrange my own photo compilation with photos.

In both situations, app is stop working and doesnt respond for any reactions.

Aha, for *me at least*, found the problem. The Markup tool was displaying but finger drawing did noting. Verified my Pencil was not connected. But nothing happened when I attempted to finger-draw.

There is still a new bug on iPad, but at least Markup now works with screenshots. “Draw with finger” was somehow turned off in the update to iPadOS 14 update process!

With a screenshot open and the Markup toolbar displayed, tap the “...” button and turn on “Draw with finger”.

The remaining bug: drawing with my finger does not respond on initial screen contact, but if I pick up my finger and draw, it works.

Just realized the same is happening to me, but only while trying to markup Screenshots. If I take a normal picture I can directly mark it up. But for screenshots, it doesn’t work even after restarting the phone.

Try the crop fix. You only need to crop I tiny amount for it to work.. Actually I just tried this. You can make a crop, undo the crop in the same edit (so it’s back to original size) then make the mark-up edit and it works 👍🏼

Npasqua, click the three dots on the color bar and turn on draw with finger. Same happened and was confused for a whole minute lol
