Chrome repeatedly reloads webpages, even after restarting iPad and uninstall/re-install Chrome

Asking for help to stop Chrome from reloading webpage every 1 to 2 seconds. It is simply maddening! The anemic options available within Chrome itself and in iPad Settings/General/Chrome have no impact. Restarting the iPad has little to no effect. Even clicking the “X” in the browser bar to stop the page from loading further has limited success; sometimes it stops it but most of the time it does not. This is a otherwise, perfect 2018 9.7” 128GB with no battery issues, and 80GB free space, and fully updated at all times. Safari occasionally does this, but Chrome does it 100 timesmore often. Frustrated...... (Thank you in advance for reading)

We see that you are having some difficulties with the Google Chrome app on your iPad reloading consistently. We would love to assist you with resolving this issue.

First, check to make sure there are no updates available for Chrome in the App Store: Update apps or use automatic downloads
