...I don't think it is good for the battery if the AC is always connected and charging.
It is good, actually. You cannot ‘overcharge’ your Mac, running on AC as much as possible will extend your battery lifespan by reducing the rate at which charge cycles accumulate, and with the battery health management feature introduced in macOS 10..15.5, your Mac will run itself off battery for brief periods even while connected to AC power to maintain battery health.

Thanks for sharing the link, I already went through the link but I am looking for an alternate way to use the Macbook with the lid closed because I don't think it is good for the battery if the AC is always connected and charging.
