Watch won’t wake up on wrist raise / show audio book

Two issues have just occurred. My watch no longer triggers display upon wrist raise (setting is on in phone app), and it no longer shows the audio display (pause, play, etc) when I’m listening to a book or podcast on my phone. I’ve rebooted phone, double-checked settings, toggled off and back on, etc. Any advice?
