Siri is extremely slow on my iPhone 11

So totally go through the voice setup. It made a huge difference.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Siri & Search.
3. Turn off Listen for "Hey Siri," then turn it back on.
4. When the Set Up "Hey Siri" screen appears, tap Continue.
5. Say each command that you see on your screen.
6. Tap Done.

I was skeptical, but it worked well.

It's possible the delay when using Siri is related to the connection. We'd recommend trying this over a different Wi-Fi network and over your cellular data connection to see if there is any difference. If the issue only occurs on one connection, then we've isolated it down.

Found a recommended solution on another forum to change the Siri Voice setting. I had this same issue, switched it from English to British and now it's responding much faster.

I ended up going through the voice/speech recognition setup routine and it helped a lot.

I changed my Siri voice and that fixed it for me!

I ended going through the siri voice trainer again and it actually helped a lot. I'll let you know in a bit if it sticks. However, the screen on my 12 pro max is just not as sensitive as my 7 plus was.

I’m having the exact same problem in my iPhone 11. Siri is so slow now at the basics. On my old iPhone 8 she would set an alarm instantly and like this guy it takes her a minute to think about it. Sort it out Apple m!

I have exactly the same problem. I’ve rebooted, been on WiFi or 5G and even turned off and on Siri and every time it take close to a minute or sometime never to respond. I’m tired of seeing ‘I’m on it ...’.

All she seems to be good for at the moment is about a 1 minute time because that is how long she takes to respond!

By the way, my Apple Watch typically responds within a second or so!

It does not matter wifi or of the house. She is super slow and takes her 1 minute to set a timer. When she use to do it in 2 seconds.

The suggestions about going through voice training again helped.

Mine is ridiculously slow. 12 pro max. $1500 and not so great. Everything is a bit sluggish. Screen touches, etc. The facial identity is reasonably fast, but between swiping up, facial recognition, and that timing, it is not a great user experience. Bring the thumb print back.

If apple can't fix this, or their recent Airplay and Homekit issues, I'm out. This is the first time ever in a decade I've considered switching form Apple, but with all these glitches it just doesn't seem worth the higher end price any more.

I've had a brand new iPhone 12 for months now with NO ISSUES. Siri was working fast and normal.

Something happened on July 18th 2021, now simple Siri requests (like set an alarm) will either fail or take 15x longer to complete, something is wrong. Something happened on 7/18/21. Simple Siri requests have SUDDENLY stopped working. Siri is a MAJOR part of the Apple ecosystem, so the way I see it my iPhone is completely broken and unusable until they fix this. Judging from this thread they probably wont.

No my connection didn't change.

Yes my Wi-Fi works

Yes the connection is strong.

Yes I tried restarting the phone. Multiple times.

Siri became completely broken and unusable. Overnight.

I'm having this issue after the 14.7.1 update on my iPhone 11. Was working fine prior to that. I've tried all the suggestions in the replies with no joy. I've tried disabling wifi and just using cell with no joy. Tried disabling cell and just using wifi with no joy. None of the other suggestions have worked.

It takes Siri ages to do anything on my iPhone 11 WiFi or no WiFi. It’s super lame.
