Is there a fix for the iOS 14 battery drain issue?
iPhone XS
Hello,
Hmm, I'm not aware of any battery drain issues. New versions of iOS typically require extra processing to index and organize your data. If you're still having issues, these are the standard steps for high battery usage:
1) Have you tried a restart? If not, do it now.
2) Go to Setting > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.
3) Check “Battery Health” in the link:
iPhone Battery and Performance
4) If all else fails, consider a battery replacement:
Good luck.

I’ve had a problem with my iPhone SE, since the iOS 14 update the battery drains even when phone is turned off.
Today I turned off Location Services in Privacy settings and this draining has now slowed down to a trickle!
PS. I also turned on the low power mode, not suggesting it is a fix but worth trying.
How come since I turned off location services the battery drain is practically normal and in keeping with usage. When I said that it continued to drain even when phone turned off, this was minimal.
There must be a glitch in the coding that allows background processes. This brings me back as to why all of a sudden older phones reportedly drain even when no background app refresh activity in being - mine is turned off!
If the battery drains when fully powered off then the battery has an internal short. There is nothing in the software that is running .
The word minimal didn't appear.
I know, I should have been more concise!
