I just got a new iphone 11 pro max. I did an icloud back up on my old phone and then on my new one. All was good. I then deleted all the text messages on my old phone and it automatically deleted it on my new phone. I want to use the previous back up that i did on my new phone to get all my text messages back. is that possible?

If you had messages in iCloud turned on Keep all your messages in iCloud - Apple Support and those messages were deleted, then they are permanently gone. If that feature wasn't turned on, you can restore from a backup -- Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support.
