It stays "about 2 hours and 21 minutes remaining" for about 20 minutes and then it gives me this error: I tried to move from Big Sur to Monterey thinking that perhaps I needed to go from 11 to 12 before 13. This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Mac stuck on checking for updates while updating macOS I'm trying update my 2017 iMac to Big Sur 11.6.4 from Big Sur 11.6.3 and all I get is a spinning wheel in "checking for updates". Is there any way to fix this [Re-Titled by Moderator]

After upgrading to Ventura successfully, my version still shows Monterey 12.6.2 I went through the entire upgrade process to Ventura. There were no error messages and it eventually rebooted and is working. But the version number still read Monterey. Is this just a bug in the Mac About page or did I not upgrade? Btw, I only upgraded the OS and not Safari. Does Apple force you to upgrade Safari too?

Your Hard Drive or Connection is Failing:

Hard Drive: Boot into Recovery Mode, select you Hard Drive, and be certain it is mounted. Once mounted, click the First Aid button.

Connection: Connect using a CAT 5 connector, by plugging it directly into your router. If need be use a Belkin USB- C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple
