MacBook Pro macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Just got this laptop for 2 days.
Have this issue on Safari and Chrome both. And not only play YouTube other video streaming websites have same issue. horrible experience.
Delete chrome, delete all safari extensions have no any help.

watch video, it keep lagging/freezing/hanging for around half second, audio is fine
