Getting knocked off internet, resetting PRAM only solution

Hi

Since upgrading to Catalina, nearly every day, sometimes several times, my internet for my mid-2015 15" MB Pro will get interrupted, and the only way to fix it is to turn off the MBP and restart to reset PRAM.

Strangely, my iPhone 11ProMax keeps functioning.

I tend to associate it with Safari and wonder if there are any known issues re that.

Btw, no extensions are turned on. Ad Block and Dark Reader are off.

Hi Royks,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having some issues with your Wi-Fi connection since updating your Mac to Catalina.

Does this happen on a certain network? Although your iPhone 11 Pro Max is able to connect without issues, each connection is unique so test on another network if possible. Also, make sure that your router settings are set to the Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points. Check out the If your Mac doesn't connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi article as well which can help diagnose Wi-Fi issues.

Cheers!
