safari not loading when on cellular Iphone 12 pro

Actually I just solved my own problem. I went into settings->Cellular and scrolled down a little bit to where it shows a list of applications under ‘Cellular Data’. For some reason Safari was disabled from using cellular data...

I turned the setting to let Safari use cellular data and everything is working now. Thought this might help you as well.

I have this same problem but thought i would add some additional information as well. The data connection is working over cellular data but safari is not working. I can use chrome over the cell data connection but not safari. I can only use safari over WiFi.

I have this problem also. I purchased a new iPhone 12 for my wife and I get no cellular data. I have spent over 2 hours with AT&T support and had them send down activation codes 3 or 4 times, and none of it worked. Finally I insisted that the support person contact their next level support and this is what they said. I was told that the SIM card in my phone (AT&T) started with 89012 and that that card does not work. I was told that I needed to go to an AT&T store and get a new SIM card that starts with 89027. I am going to get one tomorrow (11/11/2020) and see if that actually corrects the issue. I purchased this phone on 11/3/2020 and am really disappointed that it has the wrong SIM card. This is a known problem at AT&T and this information came from their ICU Support team.

After going to three different AT&T stores looking for the SIM card that starts with 89027 and not one store having one, I finally removed the SIM card and had the last AT&T store (a corporate store) activate the built in e-Sim in the phone. This solved the problem and I now have a fully functioning iPhone 12 that now gets cellular data.

AT&T store 1 didn’t have 5g cards that start with the 89027

AT&T store 2 didn’t have any 5g SIM cards at all (asked if they could activate the onboard e-sim and was told flat out that even if they did activate the e-sim it would not support 5g. Was told that it only supported 4g and LTE.

AT&T store 3 did have 5g SIM cards that start with 89028 but for some reason did not even want to try and gave me a real hassle about wanting it. Finally had them activate the e-sim which solved the problem.
