Screen Time Glitch

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue? Lately I’ve been very aware of my screen time and have decided to dial it back a bit. I deleted the Twitter app a couple days back but to my surprise I had used it for 7 hours and 47 minutes today? This is obvious some type of glitch as this is my only Apple device and there is no way someone has my iCloud log in and used the app on a different device. I was wondering if this is maybe the apps spyware? Or some data leftover monitoring me? To be honest I’m not quite sure so I was hoping someone here could explain. It’s kind of annoying bc I do look at Screen Time to monitor my usage and this is definitely going to throw all of my numbers off. Thanks in advance!

Hello vahanj,

It sounds like you have some questions about app usage showing up on your Screen Time readout. We will be happy to look at this with you.

Do you happen to know if you have Background App refresh enabled? If you are unsure, let's use this article to check: Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Specifically, look under the "Use Background App Refresh" section. If that is on, let's disable it and see if that helps.

Please let us know the outcome, we are standing by for you.
