iMessage won’t send just sends as text

I have a friend who also has and iPhone and my messages won’t send to them as iMessages

iMessage help I am trying to send a text to my friend who had an iPhone and we have been iMessaging for multiple days in a row and today it just started not delivering but can send as texts and he will receive them and his messages come in as iMessages.

trying to send a message using mobile phone number of friend who has an android phone I have gone to Settings and turned on iMessage. I have also turned on SMS, but I still can't send a message to friend who has an android phone.

iMessage not working I have and iPhone and so does a friend of mine. I’m trying to talk with them through iMessage, but my iphone thinks they have an android phone and only sends normal SMS. Any ideas?

If you are concerned about just that particular contact (Your Friend) then ensure that your friend is signed into and has activated the Messages app.
