The full charge capacity of the 2020 Macbook Pro 13inch is decreased

I have bought a new 2020 macbook and the full charge capacity is around 5103 mAh, but now with a circle count of 25, the full charge capacity has dropped to 4646 mAh, is that normal?

Every day I work with this laptop and it's always connected to the charger, is that okay?

or I have to disconnect the charger when it's 100%?

thanks

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

I would not be concerned... the new BHM seems to do the adjusting.

It may well come back up in due time.

Keep in mind you have a 1 year warranty on your new machine; AppleCare+ extends this out even further.

You do not have to unplug the Mac at 100%— if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need portability then run on the battery. Use it as you see fit. Your Mac will never over charge.

Hey ajisetya,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the battery on your new MacBook. Checking the resource for Mac notebook batteries, those numbers appear good. More details about cycle counts can be found here: Determine battery cycle count for Mac notebooks

There are also some great resources on Mac batteries and how to manage them. Check those out below:

We hope this information helps.
