How do we lower the beep volume or disable the beep on macOS when activating Siri from the AirPods?

There probably is not a way to do this so...hopefully other people have the same issue and this gets flagged to the software developers over at Apple.

The beep when you press and hold an AirPod to invoke Siri is hella loud. Anyway to turn off the beep or turn it down without affecting what we are listening to?

Also, I notice that if you enable "Hey, Siri" that this is a workaround, but doesn't enabling this feature cause more battery drain? Also, not sure if I need my Mac to be "listening" all the time. Ha.

Thanks for the post Chuck.

Unfortunately, you can't change the volume. The loud beep happens both on the Mac mini and iPhone. It's just the way it is...for now. What will need to happen is for everyone to write in to Apple and let them know about this so we can have it fixed.
