New phone, restore from iCloud backup issue

My new phone only has the last four years of my pictures on it. Last week I restored from an iCloud back up to get pictures off my old phone . For some reason, the restore from iCloud didn’t back up all of my photos from the past.

Restore from backup from iCloud Hello, Two days ago we switched cell phone providers and got new phones. We had backed up our phones to iCloud and while our other three phones have finished restoring from the cloud, mine still hasn't finished. I had almost 20,000 pictures and videos on my phone (I know, I know...DELETE!) and not one picture or video has been restored on my new phone yet. It does say "Updating" when I scroll to the bottom of my photos library. Do I just need to be patient?? The only reason I'm starting to worry is because I need to send my old phone in next week as a trade-in. I don't want to delete the entire phone only to have my pictures lost. I deleted all my pictures permanently by mistake. I need to recover this but the back up options I have do not go back far enough My old iPhone was still liked to my iCloud, when I deleted all the pictures on that phone it deleted it off my iCloud. I need to recover all my pictures from prior to June

iCloud photo I back up my old phone already and it done, then I try to restore from backed up icloud on my new phone. All my photo pretty much backed up, and I still missing some photo. There are 2 back up that appear in my system old phone 65Gb and new phone 53Gb. How do I recovery from the missing ? Thanks!
