iPhone 12 and Anker Powerwave 7.5

In the post on Anker's site you find a hint, that works for my iPhone 12 mini with Power Wave 7.5 Stand:

Put a pencil or something like this under the phone in the charger, so that it comes up app. 0,5-1 cm. Now it is charging well.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 12 Pro earlier today. I thought the charger was broken. Tried shifting the position/angle of the phone, but the indicator was just blinking. I tried different cables and using other power sources. Nothing worked.

I checked the Anker forums and found that the solution was to restart your phone. Not sure what’s the explanation, but it worked for me.

I hope this isn’t too late and I hope it works for you too.

Was having the same issues w/ the same hardware and a hard reboot seemed to work! Hope this can help others.

I received my iPhone 12 and immediately put on a Tech21 clear case. Phone would initially charge while on a Qi standard charging stand and on the charging mat in my car. Once the screen went to sleep the phone stopped charging. Called Apple support and was told the phone does not support Qi standard. Took off the case and the phone charges fine on both the stand and car. I wonder if the same problem will occur with a Magsafe case on a Qi charger. Anyone have experience?

I have the same issues. It must be because cause the different shape of the iPhone 12 moved the charging coil just slightly. I found out it does work if you put it landscape mode.

It didn’t for me right away but when I moved the iPhone 12 around it eventually found a spot where it would charge properly.

If I place mine, wait till it fails (iphone battery indicator goes back to white, blue light on Anker flashes), place it again, and then maybe a 3rd or 4th time, and a little to the left, it finally starts charging.

That Apple support agent doesn’t know what they’re talking about, the iPhone 12 definitely supports Qi charging. I have the MagSafe case and it works fine on my Anker pad charger but still not the PowerWave stand.

Ditto...same issues. My previous XS max worked fine but new 12 pro max won't work vertically (portrait). It does work horizontally (landscape) but isn't handy in this position (reset alarms, etc). Right now I have a standard wooden pencil raising the phone ~5mm above the stand bottom...works fine!! Thanks all....
