iTunes Location
I am running out of internal disk space. My iTunes folder is taking up a significant amount of that space. How can I move this folder to an external drive? I am running MacOS 10.15.7.

Grant,
I think that you may be right about the age of the article in relation to my current software. I could not get the steps in the article to work.
After some poking around, this procedure worked for me in MacOS 10.15.7 and Music 1.0.6.10. Feel free to offer it as an alternative solution to the article.

This "magazine" article looks like it covers exactly what you want to do. There are others, but many seem to lack sharp focus on this exact issue, and the steps required.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong. Per the link that you sent, I copied my iTunes folder from my internal drive to an external drive. When I reopen iTunes while pressing the option key, I get the choose library option. When I click on the iTunes folder on my external drive, the only options that I get are cancel or choose, not the open option that the article suggests. I am using Music 1.0.6.10.
I would use (Choose) and proceed -- that article may be a little older than your current software.
Grant,
The article is quite informative. Will try the suggestions soon.
