My Logitech keyboard no longer works with iPad Pro

I’ve tried to fix the issue via Logitech articles. Nothing works so I thought perhaps someone here has solved the problem? I have the canvass Logitech keyboard case.

‘I’ve gone to settings - general - keyboard. It’s set to English and automatic. Qwerty is chosen.

‘I don’t see the keyboard in Bluetooth devices though Bluetooth is on. I’m not sure that this is a problem or how to resolve it if the keyboard should be showing up there. The keyboard is noted under keyboards (2) in general.

Thanks for any help,

Diane

Hello dianefromva,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! We understand you are experiencing some issues with using your Bluetooth keyboard with your iPad. We are happy to help provide some guidance on this.

It sounds like you have done some good troubleshooting already! You mentioned that the keyboard is not showing up in Settings > Bluetooth on your iPad. It sounds like the device might need to be re-paired with the iPad so it can be used again. We have a great guide that goes over pairing a Bluetooth accessory with your iPad here:

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you have any issues while trying to pair your keyboard, take a look at these additional steps to try:

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Best Regards.

It turns out that my keyboard and iPad are connected via pins so it’s not a matter of Bluetooth. Certain keys no longer work though. Logitech couldn’t help resolve the problem that is likely on the Apple operating system side. Again, I need help to make the two work together. A lot of money went into this setup via the Apple Store.

Thanks,

Diane

Hey there dianefromva,

Thanks for following up with us and providing that information.

Are you able to test the keyboard with a different device to see if those keys work? If some of the keys physically no longer work or are damaged, we would want to look in to having that keyboard serviced or available warranty options provided by the manufacturer of the keyboard, Logitech.

Let us know if the keyboard and those keys work with other devices and we can take a deeper look in to issues that might be happening with your iPad.

Cheers.

Brenden, this problem happened immediately after the operating system update to 14.1. It’s the second time that it’s happened, too. It’s an operating system problem. The last time it happened, it was resolved in a few days. I didn’t do anything. This time, it’s not been resolved as quickly. I thought that maybe there was a way to resolve it based on your earlier success. Please let Apple folks know and ask that they look into this repeat issue. Also, my Facebook app keeps freezing. This also began after the update.

Any help is appreciated.

Diane
