Apple News App removed and can’t install it again

I must have removed the News app, its nowhere to be found when searching for it or from the App Library. When I try to install it, it’s like its already installed because the Download button says “open”. If I click on it, it says gives me the “Restrictions Enabled” message and it doesn’t allow me to open it.

And I’ve tried to add it to the allowed apps in. Stern Time but the app it’s not there.

I think I downloaded it with a previous OS and then upgraded.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello assadas,

It sounds like you are trying to use the News app but you are unable to locate the app on your iPhone. We’d like to help however we can.

Firstly, the News app is only available in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Read the latest headlines in the Apple News app

If you are located in one of these countries/regions, then navigate to Settings > General > Language & Region and make sure “Region” is set to the correct country.

You can also disable Content & Privacy Restrictions using this:

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Please reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best wishes.
