iPhone 12 yellow screen

i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".

Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!

I'm just gonna lay it out here. I work in fashion photography. I'm a makeup artist - color is my job.

The display on the 12s is BAD and just plain ugly. The camera for photographing objects is okay but for photographing people it sucks. It has this hyper-realism. It's too saturated and oversharpens everything. Nothing about it is "true" to the subject. The white balance on the display is completely off. When you try to adjust you will still be left with something that's either a little too yellow, a little too magenta, a little too cyan or a little too blue. It is CRAZY making to me. The particular glow of the OLED dispaly is also very unpleasant. The entire time I am thinking "What am I looking at here?" "What does this really look like??". Also, for photographing faces, wide angle is probably the least flattering you could ever opt for.

It's too bad because as an object the phones are really beautiful and feel great to hold - the mini especially. But the display and the camera is an absolute fail as far as I'm concerned. And these phones are supposed to be ALL about the CAMERA! lol

I returned both the 12 and the 12 mini because I was irked every time I had to look at the screen. Not the experience I want to a have all day everyday. I am honestly shocked at Apple. Don't they have artists on their team??

There probably are a few with a normal white display like X and 11. As one of the YouTubers compared in different apple stores and found some with yellow display and some normal ones. It seems the display manufacturers are the culprits and Apple did not keep their standards due to the supply issues! I really hope Apple fixes this in software update soon!

my girlfriend smashed her white iPhone 12, I bought her the new purple colour and wow, I can tell you now that screen doesn’t have yellow screen. I made sure my iPhone 12 match her display settings and I still have the yellow screen. I will be contacting Apple regarding getting my phone exchange maybe to a newer batch. I honestly believe now this is actually something to do with the glass on the screen and Apple keeping this every quite. The phones are under 12 months and everyone should be allowed to exchange phones if not happy with current screen. I will contact Apple this week and I will get back with what they say.

Did they give you new ones in black boxes or replacement units in white boxes? I’m so ****** off, I took my 2 weeks new lphone to a Genius bar appointment and they sent it off for repair telling me they also requested a new unit, only to find out from other discussions that new isn’t actually new, a replacement unit is like a refurbished one. It should be made clear on these forums what replacing an iphone means before shouting to send it back send it back if it has a warm to it, as I was mislead by both these discussion and the genius who used the word “new” unit to replace. If i knew they don’t give real new ones as replacements. I would have kept the warm tinted one.

I am sorry if this is a late response but I really need help. I’m having the same problem on my iPhone 6s which I’ve had for about 3 years now. It just suddenly happened this morning when I was changing my keyboard settings on my phone. I changed what i wanted to change, and then suddenly when I pressed the home button the same thing happened, my screen had a horrible looking yellowish blue tint to it. I don’t know what to do… please help me. All my pictures, everything are blue and I don’t know what to do. If anybody has any suggestions I’d really appreciate it.
