i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".
Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!
I’m experiencing the same. I have upgraded from iPhone 7 to iPhone 12 mini. I’m noticing a difference particularly with the colour red from my 7-12. It is looking more orange on the 12 compared to a true to life colour on the 7 and has been driving me mad. Been on the phone to apple about it no help. From reading peoples posts I’m being lead to believe it’s either hardware / or a software issue.
from doing research in terms of displays starting to think iPhone 7 had an lcd display and uses backlight to brighten the display iPhone 12 mini and other 12s is oled which is supposed to be kinder to our eyes but does saturate colour🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I much prefer the images on my 7 they ‘pop’ more
Did they give you new ones in black boxes or replacement units in white boxes? I’m so ****** off, I took my 2 weeks new lphone to a Genius bar appointment and they sent it off for repair telling me they also requested a new unit, only to find out from other discussions that new isn’t actually new, a replacement unit is like a refurbished one. It should be made clear on these forums what replacing an iphone means before shouting to send it back send it back if it has a warm to it, as I was mislead by both these discussion and the genius who used the word “new” unit to replace. If i knew they don’t give real new ones as replacements. I would have kept the warm tinted one.
Yeah, I think it cannot match with older phones unless apple fixes it. I think apple did this on purpose to save some battery, crazy, i know.
Very interesting, everyones yellow screen in the macrumors thread im in is also dnp. My first yellow screen was F17 though
It’s not right! I returned mine for a refund, clearly Apple have problems they don’t want to admit right now. Back to my iPhone X.
But it was fine when i got the second one - until i updated the software. I am only speculating it might be 14.2 that is doing the yellow tint on 12 series??
I’m running iOS 14.3 beta 2 and sadly the yellow screen issue is still there.
I have got a headache using the yellow screen!!
I know exactly what u feel but i think that 14.3 may not be the solution. Maaaaybe ios 14.4 will fix it. We will see

Don't "see" for too long.
In most places, you have fourteen days from the original purchase date to refund your Apple product.
I bought it yesterday. Tomorrow I have appointment to apple Genius Bar to replace my iPhone X battery. I guess I could refund it tomorrow if not when I’m gonna get my iPhone X back.
As soon as I got the Phone, the system update to 14.2; therefore I cannot tell you if with the IOS 14.1 the issue was not there.
May i know please how are the displays on 12 pro comparing with older models (if you have any to compare). My screen is yellowish compared to XS MAX.
I would leave True Tone off until they update this issue. This can be solved in an update
