how to save Ipad Pro snipping tool image

I am using an Ipad Pro. I have a screen image that I want to save only part of. So, I do a screen copy with the “print screen” button on my Logitech keyboard. A quick image shows up for seconds in Lower Left of desktop. If I tap on that, I get the copy of the screen shot with a menu I can use to drag around the area I want to copy. There isn’t an intuitive way to save this “clip”. How is this done?

Hello rbdavew01,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, it sounds like you want to save and/or edit a screenshot from your iPad Pro. We'll explain what you can do to see if it matches what you want to accomplish.

Try looking through here about taking and editing screenshots: Take a screenshot on your iPad

Then you simply edit it from the screen you mentioned or just save the screenshot by tapping 'Done' in the upper-left corner.

If there is something missing you'd like to see that isn't mentioned, you can leave feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

Thanks and have a great day.

rbdavew01,

If you haven't already, be sure to back up then update to the latest version of iPadOS (14.1): Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still having issues after updating, remove the software on the iPhone and add it back:

    1. Back up your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
    2. Restore the iPhone to factory settings using a computer. Be sure to have any passwords available that you might need, including your Wi-Fi or Apple ID password: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
    3. Set up the iPhone as new to test if the behavior still happens.

If it does happen when set up as new, reach out to the Apple Support team: Contact Apple Support

If it doesn't, try restoring your backup to see if it happens again: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Take care.
