iPhone 12 Pro Lock Sound Issue

This has nothing to do with the magsafe as i am using it without the magsafe case or charger. The sounds include lock sounds and keyboard clicks. They are reducing which has been the issue for me since i opened the box and not because i had magsafe. I am now wondering whether i should go back to my iphone 11 because atleast it is not annoying me when i lock or type it.

Most people commenting really aren't that bothered however, like me, probably feel that if you pay good money for something, no matter what it is, it should work properly and if it doesn't then the manufacturer should know about it incase they can let everyone in on a "fix", especially when Apple set themselves up at every launch with their infamous phrase "The best iPhone EVER!" LOL perhaps some caveats on that...

- it is but a minor irritation, a soft reset has worked for me, only bought it because I'm fed up of not being able to answer phone calls on my iPhone X - screen freeze!

does anyone else have sound problems besides the keyboard and lock screen? If so what other sound issues are they affecting?

As I have said before, it is affecting my lock screen and keyboard sounds however, it is also affecting my iPhone 12’s text messaging notification and mail notification sounds.

as I stated before, I have never used Mag safe but have the same issues as those that do use mag safe.

I find that if I go into the settings and change the sounds of notifications that the problem will go away for a brief time, but returns within an hour or so of using my phone.

Does anybody else have these issues?

That is all well and good, but as for my situation, not only is the keyboard sounds and issue the lock screen sounds an issue, but also iMessages notifications are acting the same way - they are not there at all, unless a restart is done and the fix only lasts a brief time before the sounds disappear again.

Also Note: I do not use nor have I ever used MagSafe in any fashion whatsoever neither the case nor the charger.

And the latest update has not fixed this bug.

I think it is important to note that their claim of a “MagSafe Only issue“ is not the case. I think it is an overall systemwide bug that they cannot identify the cause of and are laying it on mag safe.

You are probably correct, it might not be just a MagSafe issue and might be a wider software bug. I’m sure Apple are aware of it and will address it in line with other software priorities.

Just wanted to say that my sound issues centred around using the MagSafe case, I’ve had no other sound issues at all. Once I applied the restart as I mentioned a few posts ago, the lock sound returned to. Or so and hasn’t reappeared since.

I’ve done everything apple told me. Even upgrading iOS, factory reset... what is the procedcre in order to replace the iPhone? Because apple support also just told me to wait to iOS 14.3 (which is now currently available) and that should fix the problem which is not solved by today. Also mine has some issues with the camera. Using FaceTime becomes laggy, at night mode seems I have blackberry camera built in.

I've had this issue basically since I purchased the phone last November. I was hoping for an iOS update that would fix it but I am currently on iOS 14.3 and the issue persists. I've tried both with the MagSafe case on and off, makes no difference whatsoever. When I restart the phone the issue is temporary fixed but soon enough (like 15 minutes after restarting) it starts again.

14.4 sort of - kind of - in a way fixed it for me. Meaning ... the lock sound issue rears its ugly head intermittently. I’ll go days without an issue then all of a sudden in the middle of the day ***CLICK***. Still pretty annoying.

The other take away is that I don’t need to perform a reboot for the lock sound to correct itself.

I’m on iOS 14.4 but my keyboard still suddendly becomes loud. It’s like a fade in with system sounds. The first notification I get is pretty quiet and the second is a bit loud. I don’t even have a MagSafe. I just got an iPhone 12 Pro from 8 years of having an Android. Imagine how disappointed I am. So the problem is very not fixed.

It’s just an iOS 14 issue that they haven’t addressed. Maybe they will eventually, but as far as problems go....even though it annoys the **** out of me, it’s a not a horrible problem to have out of all the things that could go wrong.

I have installed iOS 14.2 today. The issue was gone. I have put my MagSafe case and the issue is back... so iOS 14.2 beta does not fix it yet...

this is very funny. another work around is do hard reset or sell iPhone and the case X°D or don't use a magsafe charger. a lot of work around.

i hope they fix more quickly this thing.

14.3RC (18C65) still not solve this problem.

Still happening in 14.3 (18C66) RC2, apple has released so many beta but still not found/fix this small bug, how sad.

Can confirm 14.3 didn’t fix this. Sigh. Sort it out Apple. Everyone report the bug please.
