iPhone 12 Pro Lock Sound Issue

You know, you can disable the lock sound in the meantime and still use the phone normally... why are you whining

this thread is for people looking for updates on the issue.

Still no fix after an update/beta? Ok, continue disabling the lock sound setting and use your phone

i‘m not sure if that‘s really a software issue. It sounds more like a hardware problem to me. Maybe it has to do with the case covering up the speakers or something like that. I have the same problem too sometimes. I recently switched from an iPhone XS to an iPhone 12 Pro and the problem still occurs. So it’s definitely not a recent iOS problem because i got the problem on early iOS versions too.

Unfortunately, some of us are experiencing the same issue in messages notifications and other notifications as well. Although it is annoying to some, it is very difficult to have to keep looking at your phone to see if you have any text messages, emails or other notifications. Since I don’t use MagSafe save and never have it is obviously their software issue. They need to fix this since it renders messages especially, almost useless unless you are staring at the phone constantly.

I am experiencing the same issue with my iPhone 12 pro, even after updating to 14.2. Rebooting takes care of it until I use the magsafe charger......then it comes back.

I have the same issue on my iPhone 12 Mini, when connecting a magsafe accessory (leather case, charger). I hoped IOS 14.3 would solve the problem, but alas, the bug persists.

I just discovered the issue is related, in may case, to charging the phone (12 Pro) via MagSafe. A hard reboot does correct the problem. Very annoying as most have stated.

I’m on B3 of 14.5 and system sound volume variation seems better (or fixed?) was not on B2. So there working on it I guess.

12 pro pacific blue 256GB UK. I was surprise discover iPhone had a firmware 14.1 because in week before apple went out with that firmware. So for me it's a beta version.....

So after reset and restore you have fix the problem? if you attach the magsafe or cover with magsafe no change the lock sound??

i don't want lost my wifi data, apple pay (i've more than 1 card) etc.... maybe with another firmware it's possible that autofix the problem..but when...

If this was the case, I would never have this issue, but I do. So it’s not a MagSafe feature and if it is, it doesn’t work properly. That literally makes no sense. Those employees didn’t want you in the store.

I’ve never used MagSafe, still have the issue. When I type the keyboard clicks gradually get louder. Then the lock sound is normal for a few seconds

I agree! I will also say this again, I have never used MagSafe, ever. My sound issues began right after my update. It is also not limited to just the lock screen and keyboard. I also I have the same sound issues with iMessages and with mail notifications! Therefore it is not a MagSafe issue alone.
