Well I Don't see MFi string on the packaging or anywhere on it.
BTW, I bought the USB-C Adaptor from the apple website itself.(https://www.apple.com/in/).
Can the product be trusted, or should I double confirm it to be legitimate..?
Hello,
Does the packaging indicate MFi certification? If not, perhaps it should not be used:

Good luck.
It will say MFI on the packaging.
The general answer is that there is no way to verify that an accessory is a genuine Apple product unless you bought it from Apple or an Apple Authorized reseller, because counterfeiters know how to make it look genuine. Poor knockoffs are easy to spot, but take a look at this video, where one that looks genuine is not—>2 counterfeit iPhone adapter video
How do I know if it has MFi Certification...?
If you bought it from Apple it is the real thing. Apple’s own products do not say MFI, that is only for 3rd party products.
