How can I add my contacts to share sheet?

Anyone know how to add contacts to my “share sheet”. So when sending a photo, for example, they appear on the page instead of having to click on “message icon” and then find the person you want to send it to.

If you accidentally (or intentionally) clicked on the "Suggest Less" tab - that removes a contact from the share sheet. The only way I've found to get them back on the share sheet is the following steps:

  1. Snap a screen shot of the contact information so you can easily recreate the contact.
  2. Delete the contact completely from your contacts.
  3. Recreate the contact as a new contact but misspell their name (temporarily). John Smith would be recreated as Johnx Smithx. This won't work if you change other info but leave the name spelled correctly - you have to misspell their name.
  4. Wait a full day (this share sheet info seems to be stored off your phone - updates are slow)
  5. After a day has passed, send that person a new message or picture a few times (they might not show on the share sheet yet, but they will within another day).
  6. Wait two weeks, then change the name back to correct spelling.

JUST figured this out and wrote it up - the short answer is go to the Siri & Search section of your settings, then scroll allll the way down to the list of apps, find Messages, open that section and switch ‘Show Siri Suggestions in App’ and ‘Learn from this App’,  both to *on*.

The long answer is here: https://www.theinternetpatrol.com/iphone-or-ipad-no-longer-showing-recent-message-contacts-in-quick-share-sheet-heres-the-fix/

My contacts row used to show up in the share sheet and after upgrading to ios 14.1, it's gone.

I dug around and found out you're supposed to be able to toggle Siri & Search -> Suggestion when Sharing, but I've tried that and it's gone/not coming back. Hopefully that will work for you Drakena :)

I've rebooted, I've upgraded to ios 14.2 and still gone. I use this almost EVERY DAY and while I see mostly people complain about it, how about making sure it works for those of us that use it often? It's really genius - one click to share. So easy.
