Setting up new 12 Pro. Visual voicemail from my X is gone....voicemail tab on Phone app does not have a setup tab to establish new VVM. Only thing on screen is a box to “Call Voicemail”. Spent an hour researching. Then multiple calls to Apple who said its an ATT problem. Multiple calls to ATT and they are no help.
Anyone else lose their VVM. Any help to get it set up?

I had this happen and spent time at the At&t store. They were not able to solve it. However from other people's suggestions I chatted with them on At&t and asked them to " reactivate my visual voicemail." It took about 5 mins, restarted my phone and it worked. The service agent said that when you get a new phone it automatically gets turned off.
I have found from a different iphone 12 that if you already have the "unlimited plan" it does not automatically turn this off.
How about the most important troubleshooting step: CALL YOUR CARRIER, as they control voicemail.
As has been posted many times in the thread you posted to without reading it, voicemail is a carrier function. If it isn’t working you must contact your carrier’s tech support.
If the tab is not present on your phone voicemail is not activated on your carrier’s network. You must call them to get this corrected.
I have T-Mobile and I’m having the same issue. I also work for Tmo and I know everything has been Tmo’s end.

Did not have to go through process. A pain. Wasted many hours before I found this option from you to resolve my Voicemail failure. Several friends complained before I even knew this problem existed. Bad AT&T!

I have a brand new iphone 12pro on Verizon. I've gone through multiple tech calls with verizon and screen share with apple. have completed the network reset, restore (set up as new), power cycles. Verizon has noted the account as well as apple. Was hoping an update fixes the issue. It also doesn't allow to save favorites in phone app. Apple or carrier will fix as my account has been noted on both. Verizon was going to swap out phone but they are on backorder. sit tight folks.
Thanks but I don't think that is the issue. When the att rep reprovisioned my voicemail all of the voicemails from 2017 to October 2020 came back. Only the last four months are missing. He also couldn't explain why my voicemail suddenly disappeared. It still won't let me set-up a recorded greeting. I've done a full erase and reset and will contact them again when the phone is fully restored. Thanks.
I have this issue as well. Any resolution? A force reset didn't work.

Same problem. From iPhone X on ATT to iPhone 12 Pro. Then changed carrier to Verizon. Could only get a Call Voicemail. Hopefully we can get some help.

This is the 10 time for me contacting ATT and being on hold for an hour to even speak with someone. They keep saying the fixed it, 8 times literally but it’s not fixed.
Do you got a new phone and switched to Verizon from ATT and still not working?
