Setting up new 12 Pro. Visual voicemail from my X is gone....voicemail tab on Phone app does not have a setup tab to establish new VVM. Only thing on screen is a box to “Call Voicemail”. Spent an hour researching. Then multiple calls to Apple who said its an ATT problem. Multiple calls to ATT and they are no help.
Anyone else lose their VVM. Any help to get it set up?

I had this happen and spent time at the At&t store. They were not able to solve it. However from other people's suggestions I chatted with them on At&t and asked them to " reactivate my visual voicemail." It took about 5 mins, restarted my phone and it worked. The service agent said that when you get a new phone it automatically gets turned off.
I have found from a different iphone 12 that if you already have the "unlimited plan" it does not automatically turn this off.
They said they did that. I’ve restarted. This is a big problem. I even ordered a new phone but ATT isn’t sending me information on when it will be delivered. Crazy.

I have the problem too. My carrier AT&T is of no help.
I have Verizon and it also has no way to setup the voicemail on the new phone. It just directs to call mailbox and even when I do, I can’t hear my messages
That’s a really good point. VVM needs cellular data.
That is what they told me. I don't buy it for one second. I refused the upgraded plane since that will cost me $15 more a month and I don't need unlimited... I hate AT&T!!

I just switched to T-Mobile and bought a new iPhone 12 pro. Trying to set up my regular VM and I get a failure message when I put in the password twice.
I have Verizon and just got a new iPhone12. I am seeing the same thing, button to call to retrieve voicemails. I do NOT like this!!!
