Homekit and Emerson thermostat

I just installed my Emerson Sensi thermostat and tried to connect it to Homekit. It stalled and would not complete. So, I removed the thermostat accessory and tried to start over. Every time I scan the QR code for the thermostat, Homekit says it is already installed. I can't see any evidence of the accessory anywhere in Homekit. How do I remove an accessory I can't see?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your Homekit accessory that says it is already installed.


Be sure you have followed these steps: Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app.


Make sure your iPhone is up to date. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If there is a way to factory reset your thermostat, try that next before adding it again with the QR code.


While you may need to eventually contact Emerson, please visit Get Support.
